Aeroskills and Aviation
The aeroskills and aviation industry involves the design, manufacturing, maintenance and repair of airplanes. Aviation refers to activities involving airplanes, drones and other mechanical flight craft. Examples of occupations in this industry include aerial photographer, surveyor, pilot, cabin crew, ground crew, mechanic, engineer and medical aviation with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
For some occupations in this industry, you can start a vocational qualification in Years 11 or 12. Other occupations will require tertiary study after you finish high school, or doing a cadetship with the Australian Defence Force.
