Education and training

The education and training industry involves passing on knowledge to others, from preschool through to university and other adult and community education. Examples of occupations in this industry include teacher; early childhood educator; childcare worker; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education support officer; university lecturer; nurse educator; careers advisor; education aide; tutor; language, literacy and numeracy teacher; and vocational education and training trainer.

For some occupations in this industry, you can start a vocational qualification in Years 11 or 12. Other occupations will require tertiary study after you finish high school.
