Examples of occupations in this industry include postal worker, taxi driver, driving instructor, truck driver, crane operator, delivery driver or stevedore. Stevedoring involves the loading and unloading of ships at dock. Other work that supports this industry includes customs officers at airports and services that help ships get to a port.

The logistics, supply chain and warehousing industry involves the organisation, storage and moving of products from one business to another. Automation and robotics are increasingly used in the warehousing industry to make the work more efficient. Examples of occupations in this industry include logistics clerk, store person, freight handler, truck driver, warehouse worker, accounts officer, scheduler, forecaster/industry analyst, forklift driver and occupational health and safety officer.

For some occupations in this industry, you can start a vocational qualification in Years 11 or 12. Other occupations will require tertiary study after you finish high school. Some occupations may require a skill set or no formal qualification.
